Under privacy regulations including GDPR, CCPA, and other applicable laws, you have the right to request deletion of your personal data. reitexter is committed to honoring these rights and processing your requests promptly.

Ironclad Apps LLC respects your privacy and your right to control your personal data. This page explains how to submit a data deletion request and what to expect during the process.

Who Can Request Data Deletion

You may submit a data deletion request if you are:

A reitexter Account Holder: You can request deletion of all personal data associated with your account
A Contact of a reitexter User: If your phone number or contact details were added to reitexter by a business that texts or calls you through our platform, you may request deletion of your data
A Website Visitor: You may request deletion of any tracking data or cookies associated with your visit
A Job Applicant: You may request deletion of any application materials you submitted

What Data Can Be Deleted

Eligible for Deletion

Account and profile information
Contact details (email, phone, address)
Business profile information
Contact records, groups, tags and custom fields
Message and call history, including recordings, voicemail and picture attachments
Templates, campaigns and automatic replies
Usage analytics and preferences

May Be Retained

Billing records for a subscription or prepaid balance (legal requirement)
Opt-out records — a phone number that replied STOP stays on the suppression list so it is never texted again
Carrier registration records held by the mobile registries
Fraud prevention data
Legal hold records
Aggregated, anonymized statistics
System logs (temporarily)

Some data may be retained to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements. This data will be minimized and securely stored.

How to Submit a Data Deletion Request

Option 1: Pre-filled Email (Fastest)

This opens your email app with the details we need already laid out — fill them in and send:

Option 2: Write to Us

Send an email to privacy@reitexter.com with the following information:

Subject: "Data Deletion Request"
Full Name: As it appears in our records
Email Address: Associated with your data
Phone Number: If your data reached us because a reitexter user texted or called you
Type of Request: Account holder, contact of a reitexter user, or website visitor
Specific Data: If requesting deletion of specific data only (optional)

To Stop Being Texted Right Now

If a business is texting you through reitexter and you simply want it to stop, reply STOP to any one of their messages. That takes effect immediately and applies to every way that business could reach you through us — campaigns, bulk sends, automatic replies and one-off texts. You do not need to email anyone or wait for this request to be processed.

Verification Process

To protect your privacy and prevent unauthorized deletion requests, we may need to verify your identity:

Account Holders: We'll verify through your registered email address or in-app authentication
Non-Account Holders: We may request additional information to confirm your identity and match your request to our records

We will never ask for sensitive information like full credit card numbers or passwords via email.

Under GDPR, we are required to respond to requests within 30 days. Under CCPA, the timeline is 45 days with a possible 45-day extension for complex requests.

In addition to data deletion, you may have the following rights depending on your jurisdiction:

Right to Access: Request a copy of your personal data
Right to Rectification: Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
Right to Portability: Receive your data in a portable format

Right to Restrict Processing: Limit how we use your data
Right to Object: Object to certain types of processing
Right to Withdraw Consent: Withdraw consent at any time

For Contacts of reitexter Users

If a business texted or called you using reitexter — for example a real-estate investor or agent who added your phone number to a list — please note:

Your details were entered by that reitexter user, who is the data controller. We store and transmit the messages on their behalf as a processor.
Replying STOP to any of their messages stops the contact immediately, and is faster than any request either of us can process by email
We recommend contacting that business directly to have your details removed from their records
You may also submit a request to us, and we will work with the relevant reitexter user to process it
Your number will remain on that user's opt-out list after deletion. That record exists only so you are never contacted again, and removing it would defeat the point.
