About reitexter

A Texting Habit Built My Business

I’m Keith Peiker. I grew a company past $500k in twelve months on roughly $3,600 a year of text messages — no ad budget, just a list and follow-up that never stopped. reitexter is that habit turned into software for real-estate wholesalers and agents.

Where this came from

One channel, run without a break, for years. The product is downstream of that.

02.1The list

No ad budget, so I used the phone

I ran a business with nothing to spend on advertising. What I had was a list of people who could send me work, and a phone. So I texted them — thousands of them, across my state, on a schedule, for years. Not blasts. Follow-up.

02.2The number

$3,600 a year of text messages

That is what the whole funnel cost me to run. In twelve months it took the company past $500,000 in revenue. I have never found a cheaper channel, and I have never met anyone who was doing it consistently and complaining about lead flow.

02.3The tooling

The software came second

The habit worked long before the product existed. I built the software because stitching the habit together out of a phone, a spreadsheet and a texting app broke down the moment the list got big — and because the part everyone gets wrong is the boring part: who already replied, who already said stop, what goes out on Tuesday.

02.4reitexter

Rebuilt for people who work a list of numbers

Investors texting skip-traced owner lists and agents working a sphere are doing the same thing I was doing, at a different temperature. reitexter is that messaging core on its own — the texting, the calling, the numbers, the follow-up — with everything that wasn't messaging stripped out.

What I’m not

I’m not a real-estate investor and I’ve never wholesaled a house. I’m not going to write you a script for a motivated seller, or tell you which county records to pull, or pretend I know your market better than you do. Plenty of people sell that. I’d be making it up.

What I do know is what happens to a list under years of steady contact — where the replies get lost, how fast a number gets filtered, what it costs to run, and what the carriers will and won’t let you do. That is the part reitexter is built to be good at. The deal-finding is yours.

The rules are the product

Cold-texting a purchased list is the exact behaviour the TCPA and 10DLC registration exist to police. A tool that hides that from you isn’t being nice — it’s setting you up to get your numbers filtered. So it’s in the open here.

05.1

Registration is step one, not step ten

US carriers want every business sending automated text to register a brand and a campaign before the first message. You do it inside reitexter, and unregistered traffic gets filtered — so the app treats it as setup, not as a task for later.

05.2

STOP means stop, everywhere

One word back and that contact is flagged, dated and moved to your unsubscribers group. Every send path checks before it sends — campaigns, bulk sends, auto-replies, one-off texts — and the dialer screens its call queue the same way before it dials.

05.3

Failures come back with a reason

When a message doesn't land, History carries the carrier's actual reason: filtered as spam, sent from an unregistered number, landline, opted out. You can act on that. A red dot tells you nothing.

05.4

Prepaid, so nothing runs away from you

Usage comes out of a balance you loaded on purpose. A message that fails is refunded. Pause a campaign and the unsent portion goes back. There is no invoice at the end of the month for traffic you didn't mean to send.

None of this is legal advice, and the software can’t make you compliant on its own — what you send and who you send it to is your call. reitexter’s job is to make the careful version the easy one.
